How we are funded

Herriot Hospice Homecare is part of an independent charity powered by local communities. The majority of the care and support we provide is funded by the generous support of our local communities.

This year, it will cost over £9 million for our charity to provide its family of hospice, bereavement and emotional wellbeing services across North Yorkshire. This also includes Just ‘B’ and Harrogate district-based Saint Michael’s Hospice.

Our community chooses to show their support in a variety of amazing ways; including through donations, fundraising, corporate partnerships and remembering the charity in their will.  25% of the care and support our registered charity provides receives statutory funding.
